Custard Apple pulp | 1 cup |
Sugar | 5 Tbsp |
Milk | 1 1/2 Liters |
Cardamom powder | 1 Tsp |
How to prepare
- Put water in the pan and make it wet by moving it all around as it prevent milk to stick to the pan. After draining the water, add 1 and 1/2 liters of full fat milk and boil it. Remember to keep stirring the milk in between. Meanwhile, take out the pulp of custard apple and filter it by pressing it in a net. Remove the seeds which will come out in it and put the rest of the pulp in the bowl itself.
- When the milk starts boiling, cook it on a low-medium flame while stirring occasionally till it thickens. When the milk thickens, add 1 tsp of cardamom powder and 5 tbsp sugar and mix well. Switch off the flame after mixing and let it cool down a bit.
- When the milk cools down, add custard apple pulp to it and mix it well. After mixing, the Basundi of Sitaphal will be ready. Keep it in the fridge for 1 hour and serve it cold and enjoy its taste.
How to serve
Basundi can be served hot, warm or chilled. It is often served with puris.
